SenseWURk

As students from Wageningen University & Research participating in the SensUs competition could not be more fitting with our goals and ambitions. After all the motto of our university is “to explore the potential of nature to improve the quality of life” and what better way to do that then to develop a biosensor to be able to detect the life-threatening sepsis disease. This is the first year the WUR participates which means we have a team of fresh students, not limited by unconsciously influences from past teams. Thus, we are ready to think outside the box! We are principally going to focus on the biochemistry of the sensor since we are specialized in life sciences and furthermore sustainability and translational potential will be key points for us. We want to work on the bridge between life science and real-life application and will make use of the great networking hub we have in Wageningen!
